A house in Comfort, Texas
In 2001, our grandfather, Johnnie Otto Kveton, invited us out to his land in Comfort, Texas to help him build his house. Not hire someone. Build it. Nail by nail, board by board, perfectly planned and orchestrated by him so that there was little to no waste and the day’s projects were completed by supper.
He didn't just teach us how to build houses that summer. He taught us how to do a job right. How to look at a piece of work and know, honestly know, whether it meets the standard or whether you're fooling yourself.
When we started Otto Design + Build, we named it after him. Not as a tribute, but as a promise. Every home we build carries his name, and that means it has to meet his standard. No shortcuts. No "good enough." Done right, or done again.

Andrew Pevoto & Peter Pevoto are brothers and native Austinites. They have a combined 25+ years of experience in building, renovating, designing, and developing high end homes and properties for investors and home buyers in Central Texas.
Andrew Pevoto
CO-FOUNDER
Andrew graduated with a degree in Finance & Real Estate from Texas Christian University and began his career as a partner in S&K Development, overseeing the development for over 300 homes in San Antonio and Austin before co-founding Otto Design & Build.
Peter Pevoto
CO-FOUNDER
Peter began his Real Estate career at Gossett Jones Homes, Austin Business Journal's 2012 Custom Home Builder of the Year and multiple HBA Austin and Texas Association of Builders awards recipient. He eventually took lead of the acquisition and entitlement departments, overseeing the planning for the development of over 50 homes in Central Austin before co-founding Otto Design & Build.
